Run 1673 - 4th April 2009

Venue: Ulu Yam
Hare: Mike Moore
Co-Hare: Gary Waring
Scribe: Chu Chu
Comic: Nan K
Directions:

Option 1: For sensible people:
Get onto the MRR2, take the Batu Caves slip road, and follow signs through Batu Caves town for Ulu Yam - leading to the windy/hilly reservoir road.
After passing the reservoir and various eco-resorts, and going straight for many more kilometres, turn RIGHT at the T-junction immediately after the small bridge (instead of left into Ulu Yam Baru).

Then follow hash signs:
- go straight, keeping to the right if in doubt
- proceed slowly/safely through the kampung
- keep going for about 1km until you see the hash-mobile (probably silver LandRover Discovery)
- park thoughtfully on the left, allowing space for beer-truck near a Chinese shrine
To make the most of limited space, all 4WDs should park in the clearing after the shrine.

Option 2: For those who prefer highways:
Take the N-S highway to the Rawang exit, turn right after the toll, and go through/around Rawang town to get on the Old Ipoh Road heading North.
Continue straight through Serendah, etc.
At Batang Kali (traffic lights just after police station) turn RIGHT towards Ulu Yam Baru and Genting. Keep going STRAIGHT through 2 or 3 junctions / traffic lights, and into Ulu Yam Baru town.
When you reach a T-junction in town, turn LEFT, and then keep straight past the right turn (leasing across the bridge for the reservoir road towards Batu Caves / KL.), and follow the Hash signs as described above.

Option 3: For those who are fearful of the Rawang traffic:
Take the Bukit Beruntung exit, head for Serendah / Batang Kali, and then follow the directions above (Option 2).

As usual, bring Mozzie Repellent.

On-On will be at restaurant Hock Lay in centre of Ulu Yam (coconut prawn restaurant), and there will be a recession-beating subsidy for anyone wearing a sarong (boys or girls - the hares aren't choosy).
