Via Batu Caves & the reservoir road:
Get onto the MRR2, take the Batu Caves slip road, and follow signs through Batu Caves town for Ulu Yam - leading to the windy/hilly reservoir road.
After passing the reservoir and various eco-resorts, and going up and down for many more kilometres, turn left at the T-junction immediately after the small bridge, into Ulu Yam Baru.
In the middle of Ulu Yam, turn right, sign-posted Genting, and set your trip-meter.
Drive out of town past the police station, keep going past the Old Lucky Lite restaurant and Genting turn-off, until you get to the new traffic lights with the Shell station on New Lucky Light.
1.5km - turn left, sign-posted Ulu Rening and Kampong Kuantan
Keep going, through the village, and past an open area and abandoned gatehouse on left.
5.3km - look for hash signs on left.

Warning - short trail to car-parking can be rough - take care!
Via Rawang:
Take the N-S highway to the Rawang exit, turn right after the toll, and keep going onto the North-bound Old Ipoh Road.
Pass Serendah and at traffic lights at Batang Kali township (Police station on right), turn right for Genting Highland and Ulu Yam Baru.
Proceed for nearly 2km to new traffic lights (by Shell station and New Lucky Light restaurant), and turn left towards Ulu Tamu / Ulu Rening, re-setting your trip-meter.
1.5km - turn left, sign-posted Ulu Rening and Kampong Kuantan
Keep going, through the village, and past an open area and abandoned gatehouse on left.
5.3km - look for hash signs on left.
ON ON - Old Lucky Lite restaurant
Drive back towards Batang Kali, and turn left at new traffic light facing Shell station (i.e. towards Ulu Yam Baru and Genting).
Drive for 2km to Genting cross road.
Restaurant is on the right of this junction.
