Directions:

Via Batu Caves and the reservoir
Take Jalan Kuching out of K.L. Remember the Jalan Kuching toll plaza, well set trip meter to zero there.
At 3.6 km, exit left for the elevated roundabout for Kuantan/ Kepong.
At the roundabout above Jalan Kuching (4.0 km), take 3 o'clock exit towards Kuantan.
As you approach Batu Caves, take the left slip road at 5.1 km. (you can also reach here on the MRRII from the Sungei Buloh or Gombak directions, of course).
At the bottom of the ramp, keep left (sign-posted Ulu Yam Baru).
Batu Caves should now be on your right!
Go over railroad tracks, and at 6.2 km, turn right at traffic lights (a mosque will be on the right).
At 10.1 km, turn right (again sign-posted Ulu Yam).
Follow this scenic (windy & hilly) road past the reservoir and into the hills.
At 31.6 km, immediately after crossing a bridge, turn right at T-junction.
Bear right past Thou Yen Restaurant and then bear right again at 32.4 km going onto Chinese kampong road.
Follow signs, park cars near Hare's car WGE 9392.

Via the N-S highway and Rawang
You may take the crawl via the NKVE, exit for Rawang, go through Rawang (by-passing the town), and then go north on old Highway 1 (old Ipoh Road) through Sungai Choh and Serendah.
A little north of the Serendah Golf Course, turn right, signposted Ulu Yam (Lama) after the Pasar Raya (Market); a solitary building on your right before passing over the bridge over the double tracking for KTM. There is a sign posted Ulu Yam Baru.
Pass through Ulu Yam Lama and then into Ulu Yam Baru.
On the far side of UYB, keep going straight past the turn-off for Batu Caves (adjacent to a river bridge mentioned above).
You will pass the Thou Yen restaurant on the left hand side, and then continue on as above.
